Hi Andy.

I did comment in the gallery, but had to comment here after seeing the ref pic..;) The pic is exactly what i was talking about in the other thread. Graduating the water with viridian, just like it is shown here..

You could aslo put another wash of hmmmm..... is that yellow ochre you have used for the sand? Maybe just a tad darker this side of the wave, to show where the sand is damp from the tide pulling the wave back out..

I like your chairs, and the towels hanging on the chairs too. Love the colour..

You did good Andy..

Andy, you really broke out the color intensity guns! This is a simple composition that you have worked wonders with...

Hi Andy,

My it feels hot in here all of a sudden! LOL! I really like the reference photo for the simplicity of the composition.

Your interpretation and color palette changes are very interesting and well done.

Sorry to keep you waiting,my dad has had two more heart attacts in the last few weeks, then he contracted MRSA and now to top it all they now say he has got a chest infection this week.
Anyway my version is here at long last.

Nicely done, the both of you.

Do you share my fear of greens? No matter, the orange is much nicer. I think you have both done terrific with this very simple image.

Andy you have really caught the very bright sunlight. Look Mediterranean!

Sharon, the folds in the cloth draped over the chairs are great... as is the water.

This speaks to the strength of the Challenges when you could get yourself up enough to paint this lovely beach scene so beautifully with all you've been dealt with lately. Well done, the colors are clean and clear. I especially like the cloud bank on the horizon.
