Hi everyone -

I was turned on to this site by my friend Mario -

Anyway, to date the vast amount of my "painting" has been done digitally, usually goofing around.

Recently, I've done a few studies digitally with the intent of creating "actual" ;) paintings - I have just bought my first set of acrylics, and based on some input from Mario, will most likely also be buying a starter oil set too.

Anyway, attached is a quick study of a semiabstract winter scene which I'd like to execute at about 4'x4', roughly - any thoughts appreciated regarding anything from layout to media recommendations!

Note: I'm considering doing this in acrylic with gloss medium to add shininess but not thickness.

Thanks!

Andrew

You can etch what I know about either abstract art or acrylics on your thumbnail and have room left over, but I'm not going to let that stop me from welcoming you to WetCanvas!
