I have started an art journal these ar4e some of the techniques I have tried nwhille attending a workshop... some of the deep blue colors run others are permanant. I plan to use these in WC callage. Thought you might like to see it.
Oddly enough I havnt tried any of it it with masa paper yet :D

print with tissue paper

stamped with blue washable ink

ricepaper print

soaked in water and painted

a fun techique with folded rice paper dipped in watercolor ink

this just happed when making stamped images

I love this Kathy! And I especially love it because to me it speaks that you are coming into your own as an artist. There's just something very unique and wonderful with your expression/your style. I've enjoyed watching it with a bit of jealousy, I may add. ;)

Thank you Jim, appreciate your looking, I uploaded and headed out to the store and I see I could have made the images a little smaller. but anyway thank you.
Thanks Jutta, its interesting that you called that batik as i had a painting that was on watercolkor paper and it was batik done with wax but it was too big and I had trouble resizing it for this sample. The one you pointed out does resemble batik a little also...

Thanks it is: I tend to forget the ideas I have so this is a way to remember.. it looks a bit neater in the book..... glad you looked:)

You are soooo creative, Kat!!! Good idea to keep notes... I really like every one of your samples... and they're all such beautiful colours... I can't wait to see what you develop with all this!!!

Charm thank you, I am so forgetful that I had other samples to paste in the book and I left them in another bag and discovered them this morning.
Sometimes I worry abot my absentmindness...

Well, Kat, you just keep raising the bar on "creative."
I especially like the clean lines and variations of blue
in the second one...

The second picture is a sample of a stamp taken from verigated stamp pad whose company name elludes me at ther moment stampendous? Stamporific? Its part of color box. and I sure had fun with it, I tried to get some today but the store didnt carry it
