Managed to complete 4 ATC's this evening, 2 of which are still too wet to scan but these are dry! :)

Hello Nitsa, I like your pictures. Do you find working with a limited pallette challenging? I tried it before and found it was so I expect it's even harder with a miniature! Is that a picture of the great MM?

I actually enjoy working with a limited palette, especially monochrome, it's an excellent lesson in values. Yes, it is the great MM! ;)

Anita, these are beautiful -- both are Winners, and I love the fact that you have rendered them in monochromes. I personally love working with a monochromatic palette myself -- it gives a lot of satisfaction I reckon, working with tonal values etc. Great work :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:

As to monochrome...that gives me an idea. In my last two paintings I've started them out with the values in monochrome using some burnt umber. That worked well for me...! Now seeing what you've done here, I think I'll give a monochrome painting a go!!!!
