So I've been looking around a bit through the forum but I don't always have a very fast connection.

So I could have missed something, but have you all done any print exchanges here? Is there any interest in doing one? I've organized print exchanges for my college and high school (which had a surprisingly strong printmaking program) and would love to dip my feet back into it. Let me know if interested.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi, Ben.. yes we just got done with an exchange. Andrew got the gears in motion and coordinated it. The final prints are shown on a link on his page here (http://www.agott.com/swap/). It is a nice summary page, although some of the images are hard to see. I suppose all of us should have uploaded our final print pics into the swap 'project' system. The thread for the exhange can be found here (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255399).

If you are interested in participating in an exquisite corpse style exchange, it looks like one is brewing as we speak. More info here (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=280586). If you're more interested in a traditional exchange, I bet there will be another one soon enough.. so keep your eyes peeled! -Carol

We have had a few great exchanges here in the past- The last one can be seen HERE (http://www.agott.com/swap/). (No, I haven't gotten around to linking the full-size pics OR the statements- SORRY! I have been BUSY...)

There will certainly be more in the future as well, keep an eye open for them!

Ben I don't think I've said hi and welcomed you to the forum yet ... so hi and welcome...projects or exchanges pop up kinda regular with normally plenty of time to complete unless you are a procrastinator like yours truly

Ben, we did have a print swap. We need a lot of time to work on pieces (at least I do) but feel free to organize another. Someone has something in the works so we may have one started this fall. Oh I think I forgot to say hi. Are you just out of college lately?

Maybe we can have one where we take out a print from a pre-existing edition and swap. It would require no investment of time, nobody would have to bail, and it would be a total surprise what you got!

I suggested something like this a bit earlier- But didnt work out any details. Similar to the 'swap shop' run at the baren forum- You send x number of prints, they go into a bin, and you get x number back from others. The advantage, as you mention, is that there is no time requirement- you use what you have on hand, they don't have to be the same print even...

If there is still interest, we can get something up and running...

I'm always interested in seeing others' work, so I'd participate in this one if "someone" else organizes it.
