A shot I took in London last year.

Very intersting, te horse's attitude catches my atention in this one.

I also like the way the picture is pretty much black even the horse, 'cept for the head of the guard which is such a vibrant red and gold...

Bravo, drapier! You managed to find something fresh to say about a subject that everyone and his brother has photographed at one time or another (and usually badly...:D ). Like Flehman, I really like that the photo is overall largely dark, which makes the helmet, the red, and the horse's open mouth really stand out.

ditto what the others said. the horse's expression makes the photo really work, but the way you filled the frame is what separates this from tourist snapshots. the way the sword vanishes and reappears is a bit odd, i guess it is tucked under his arm? not a big bother.

I went back and checked the uncompressed Photo and the reason the sword appears to vanish is that where it touches the coat, the coat is reflected in the steel of the sword.
Thank you all for the nice comments.

Beautifully photographed and makes you wonder what news the horse has to tell.

Needs a caption though...

"Blah! That's the last time I eat at that salad bar."

Great photo!

Wow I like this the red, the shine on the helmet and the horse.

After looking at this for a bit because I like it so much, I see how the
shapes are repeated. Cool.

Great photo!! Love the horse expressions in this one! Almost looks like he's smiling at you! :) Also like the contrast of the silver & red with the mainly black of the rest of the photo.

The horse with mouth open (it looks smilling) in comparison with the serious soldier was great.

Congratulations...
