View Full Version : The Angelus - yet again

You might recall that I did Millet's 'The Angelus' for a comission a few weeks ago, leaving out the fork, basket and cart. It also had a blue sky and green fields in the background.
Well, the client loved it, but said she would quite like the fork and basket in, and also without a blue sky - it had to match her dining room colour scheme:)
I hope she'll be happy with this - I am anyway and I DO NOT want to paint it again!!
The different blues and detail aren't showing on the trousers with this pic.

Feel free to c & c before I varnish it:) I see already that I need to extend the lady's shadow.

20 x 20 inches.

I really like this. The eveness of the two figures creates a silent tension there appeals to me. I also love the colors you chose for the sky. Beautiful work!

Thank you Amber, Caroline, Zoe, Kaye and Damar.
I have to say that I really do NOT enjoy comissions, but I do learn from them.
