I've finally gotten one of my demonstrations published! You will find it at http://www.wetcanvas.com/Articles2/250/166/

This is an abstract painted with watercolor on yupo paper. I used several experimental techniques on the yupo including plastic wrap and rock salt. I hope it will inspire you to try something new for the New Year!

Wow Carly,

This is very cool. I've been reading about this very thing in a book I recently bought - "Master Class in Water Media" by Edward Betts.

Very exciting. I'll be giving it a try soon.

Thanks for your great demo!!

Nice painting and good demo, Carly.

I thought I would like Yupo, but I quickly got frustrated with it, and didn't like the way the paint sat on the surface, so I've been using it as a tabletop protector.

Having seen this, though, I'm thinking I'll try again.

Hi Carly, I like this one. You can really let the paint slide around with the yupo. I have a small piece Cheap Joes sent me, I'll have to try it.
