On 300gsm watercolour paper
16 1/2 " x 11 1/2"

Pepper was an adorable family pet when I was young and now I could finally paint him and do it justice.

The dog is great. Such wonderfully glossy fur. I find that there is a strong play between the dog and your signature most likely because the dog is looking in that direction. Maybe tone down the signature a little bit or more it to the other side would be better. This really is a nit-picky comment but as you are such an accomplished artist it is worth saying.

Carol - The signature is a good thing to point out. Maybe I should do it in white instead then it would look more like a lawn daisy.

Thanks to everyone else too for your comments. I've really enjoyed painting this. I am going to give it to my father for a birthday pressie. After all he bought "Pepper" way back in 1980? He loved that dog too - took him to work when he was building and really fussed over Pepper. I'm sure he will love it.
