I agree with everybody else, is beautiful, but I don't see how you do that in 2 1/2 hour :)

Assured, confident work here, Kitty- not bad to look at, either! :D

As well you shoud Kitty, like it that is. It's lovely. I like the reflections in particular. I really will have to try the underpainting with paints--I just spent 10 hrs on an 8x10 and you've done all this in a quarter of the time. Love it.

I like it too - now that I have had the pleasure to see how you work at a painting, I understand more about how strong the underpainting is and how it all works together.

Thanks, rubberduck, Julie, TJ and Kyle,
I appreciate your comments.
Kyle, I'm glad you mentioned the underpainting. Maybe those who can't figure out how I do an 18x24 plein air in 2-3 hours will take notice.

Kitty,
What type of paint is used for the underpainting here? I am only now beginning to use watercolor paints under my pastels.

I use a pigment dispersion. Createx sells it, 'Createx Pure Pigment' It's a water based solution of finely ground pigment. No paint body to gum up the grit of the sanded paper.
