I really like the loose feel of this, Carl...good composistion and colors. I think the overall simplicity is very nice, though I would like to see a bit more definition in the foreground...maybe some ripples in the water, indications of some highlights and shadows on the grass area, etc. With or without the added detail, this is an excellent piece. Good job!

Wonderful. Loose and yet very effective. Excellent use of colours and perspective.

I like this painting very much. It is beautiful and I would like to be able to do something like that! Good work.

I just wonder if there should be some reflection of the trees at the right in the river? I would personally have put some but that could have been a mistake!

I appreciate all the nice comments. Thanks to everyone.

I agree that there could be a little more detail in the foreground and some reflections in the water. In this case, the picture painted itself without a lot of help from me.

I like the thought in your signature. I hate it when people get noseprints on my paintings. They are meant to be seen across a room.
