I have decided to take a digital photo of my watercolor palette after I finish each painting. Why? who knows, but here is the first.

hey cool, a peak into the magic of your watercolors

Is that Paynes Gray?

Any chance of posting a step by step of a painting? :]

Now we know your secrets and will be able to paint just like you~ NOT!

It looks like a subtle range of values - as I suspected; you are good as seeing even small value changes. Is that why the work looks so realistic?

I like the row of eyeballs at the top.

dnip24- Thanks

colorme- Thanks

Painted Melody- I have thought about doing a step by step on my website. Those different shades of grey you see are actually various combinations of indigo, prussian blue, and cerulean blue. I don't use paynes gray or black.

owens1229- Thanks

Cindy- Yeah, those subtle differences are important. Thanks

VictoriaS- Eye hear ya

I may even do paintings from these photos. Watercolors of my watercolor palette. I consider them an extension of the original painting , and I could even do watercolors of my watercolor palette from the watercolors of my watercolor palette.
