Hi,

Today I bought an American Artist issue about Still Life highlights.
As I was skeeming through it at the store I saw these astonishing pastel paintings.

Here's the link :

As small images on a screen these looked 'too realistic' to me--but once I noticed the scale I could envision the impact of these giant paintings. Imagine how strong these visuals are from across a large room... Usually I find overly-relistic paintings somewhat boring (not that I don't admire the skill needed to do them--I do--but that visually I want to be challenged more) yet these must be very stimulating to see in reality.

Ah HA! I've seen this work in Santa Fe! Now I remember..at Munson Gallery. Yep, she's good.

Thanks for sharing this, Jose'!

Wow Josť, Those are pretty amazing! Actually a little *too* realistic for my tastes, might just as well have a photograph. But I'm hugely impressed by someone who has the skill and the talent to creat something so prefect. I could not do it it I practiced until I was 100. I wonder how long it takes her to create one of those pictures?
