The tree trunk is nicely detailed, and I like the way you let the ground fade away from the tree. I would have liked to seen the limbs of the tree finished though by taking them off the paper. That is the only critique I can offer up. For a beginner in this medium you have done an excellent job.

I like your sketch, Els!

Have been thinking of drawing trees myself but the detail work scares me off. :) The trunks of old trees remind me faces of old people. But your sketch is a proof that one can do a great job even as a beginner.
