MY COMMENTS:
Started this, but got stuck with the frame,
background (white walls) and wooden chair.

I'm doubting if the composition will work.
The reference pic had a very solid gold picture frame, and I cannot get it right without distracting the attention.
Poor reference photo, and I wish to simplify it, but not sure how

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Any ideas on what to paint to make the pic seem less "empty".

Any other criticism welcome.

I like the concept a lot...very clever

I think the composition...though very heavy on the right will work if you pump up the values on the woman

with more detail it'll be a great finished painting... i like the fact that the painting in the background copies the woman in the foreground very much... keep going.
