Hi, Everyone! I have lurked this forum for quite a while, but have never posted. Today I feel somewhat brave, so here goes! (Hopefully I did this right).

I have been so inspired by everyones' beautiful work, I love this site! Here are three drawings, two in graphite pencil, and the third in charcoal pencil. Thanks for looking!

Welcome Darkflower!
Not only are these nice drawings, but you rendered the models very pretty (if that makes sense). I lurked for a while also before posting for the first time.. The hard part is now over! Keep them coming! :)

Hi Darkflower,
ooh, I really like No 3 -- loose and moody. Hope you'll start posting more. :)

Hello Darkshadow,

Welcome to WC! All of your work is very nice... however.. I have to agree with Greenpearl.. the third one is outstanding!!! IMO, based on these drawings, you should work more with charcoal. The graphite pencil seems to tighten you up a bit and get you caught up in blending, while the charcoal pencil seems to set you free!

I'd love to see more!

Glad you come out of lurking Darkflower!..welcome! I like all three, but I have to agree with Dave and greenpearl on that last drawing, very well done. Mood is hard to capture in graphite unless you can learn to loosen up more or work with more dramatic shadowing or light. However, the other two are good also, seeing that you catching form quite well. Keep up the great work and I look forward to more!

This is what I get for posting late I agre with the list: Dave, Greenpearl, and Stoy. All are good but the third one is by far your best. If I were to title this, I would call it "Something Happened" because with the others you excercise a great deal of control and tightness but with the third one you seem to have reached escape velocity and rocketed into a free-er, looser realm of drawing--something happened. It is outstanding!

Welcome to WC Darkflower!! I love all three of your drawings very much, and agree your third one has the looser style, but I also like those first two as well. Please post more.

Welcome Darkflower! Glad you've posted, even more so because you have 3 good drawings to share! Like the others I prefer no 3, but the others have their own good points too!
I'd love to see some more of your work too! PS...you may even want to introduce yourself in Reinhards thread (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=274829&page=10&pp=15), it shows we are a varied, but ever so friendly and supportive bunch of people like yourself...who love to draw! :wink2:
