View Full Version : Stuck on my forest!

Help!! I wanna get this painting finished and haven't a clue as to what to do. It's very heavily textured and started out quite abstract but has turned into this. I realise the path has to go (somewhere) and there needs to be a focal point (somewhere) but all I keep thinking of is 'little red riding hood' :wink2:
Any suggestions, alterations etc, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jo

Hi Jo...perhaps some variation in colour or values in the gold section....I think the path could be your focal point (perhaps at the end)....maybe the path could be darker and meander more....I like the effect of the trees and the treeline...

Do you think that maybe the path should be coming from the side wiggling in and out of the trees? I kinda feel like I need something to be using the path too.

Yes...I agree on the path Jo.....and I think a figure would add an extra dimension and interest....could even be your focal point perhaps?..... :)

Thanks again Kim. I'll try the wiggly path from the side first and see what happens.
