This is lovely! Have you done anymore with it? I'd love to see it.

Oh yes, I have, but I"ve been spreading mulch for two days and I'll shoot it sometime. It has taken a turn for the worse right now. lol

And how is it doing right now? :D At a shootable stage yet?

Ummm, well, you won't recognize it. Right now, after someone saying the diamond shapes became too redundant (which I thoroughly agreed with) I cut them out of the board (it was glued on fabric) and then I covered a lot of the diamond shapes with modeling paste. So right now it has a big white shape in the middle of it. My daughter is here to visit and I've been catering to her (I love that) and she's been ooohing and aaaahhing about the flowers and yard, so that's been my absorption the last couple of days. But sadly, she leaves tomorrow to go back to St. Louis and I'll tear into it.

Enjoy your daughter. Thats Great. Anxious to see what you are up to with it Bev. Looks great to me now! :)

soooo, after removing (with a box knife) some of that irritation diagonal design I plastered it with modeling paste and started over. I kind of like the sketchy thing. Think it stands as it is? (with a few adjustments)

Think it stands as it is?Not really, because of the 'box' effect. Now, is there anything you didn't change aside from the arm? lol
Seriously, though, her sketchiness might work, but the brown stuff (is that the paste?) needs cover. But you knew that. (You're joking, right?) ;)

well, the brown stuff (at the bottom?) bothers me, but I was thinking of having a superimposed look, but that means that the shapes in the background would have to have some form and dimension. Just at that thinkin on it stage. :-)

update...still trying to decide whichaway I want to go with this one. lol

Bev - are you trying for that shadow effect behind her? I think you need to break up the big light area under her right arm.

Thanks Kathleen. At this stage I"m getting the figure placed like I want her. I'm going to move her left arm and then I'm planning to pull some of those dark and light shapes through the figure, as though she's superimposed on the light and shadow. I'll keep y'all updated

Okay, this one will have to be called rough and rowdy whenever I conquer her. She's been very rebellious.

Nuther change. Now I have to mess up her face. I think she needs a whippin.
Oh yeah, that's what I've been doing. lol. Sometimes in all this working on a piece it gets richer. Sometimes it doesn't.
gotta mess up that face
