I am a big fan of cartoons, comics and animation. My first real drawings were of super-heroes and the like. Glad to see this forum started.

This is some fan art I did with a mouse in MS Paintbrush a while back. Saw it on a t-shirt somewhere, liked it and took a shot at recreating it.

Yeah...I'm excited to see this forum going too. I began as a young artist in third grade because my neighbor was a former artist for Walt Disney..and I mean FOR Walt, and shared his cell drawings with me, and taught me Donald Duck and many other characters.

I'm excited now...that my son, an accomplished cartoonist and caricaturist may find himself taking my invite to join Wetcanvas since there is now a perfect forum for him to hang around! Take care...

I'm a huge fan of Looney Tunes myself -- went to Santa Fe a few years back, and the only piece of art we bought was a Marvin the Martian meets the Roswell aliens sericell! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Still waiting (not so patiently) for all the Looney Tunes cartoons to be put on DVD, just like they did with video laserdisks a few years ago...

This is a good drawing! You really nailed Bugs and Daffy and the rest (I really like Bugs' head!).

Would it be terribly gauche of me to post my 3D model of Marvin the Martian, while we're at it? Modeled after one of those plastic figurines...see what you think:

Good job on Marvin! Where's Commander K-9?

digistyle,

I never got around to modeling K-9, though I did write a script and start animating my story (which at this point, only contains the spaceship I modeled doing a fly-through and landing on Mars -- I think it's pretty cute, but I have lots more work to do on it; been distracted by my full-time job, building a website, graphic design class, trad. animation class, and finally and best of all -- PAINTING!). Sigh! If I could just lose the job, I'd have time for all this other stuff (be careful what I wish for, I know!!!).

Glad you like, fellow Looney Tunes fan!

yiotta,

Just got back from your site. All I can say is "U GO, GIRL!!!" http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/cool.gif Awesome site!! Great start on the Marvin animation. The ship reminded me of another favorite, the Jupiter II (sans fin http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif). I especially loved the landing gear (Air Martians?). I could almost here the Warner Bros orchestra in the background. Looking forward to more of your work.

Ah, shucks! (shuffle, shuffle -- I do believe I'm blushing). Thanks for your very kind words!

Gosh, I'm speechless now. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/redface.gif
