.........you can write I LOVE YOU on the furniture. :wink2:
Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
to paint a picture or write a letter,
bake a cake or plant a seed,
ponder the difference between want and need?
Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
with rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
music to hear and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead.
Dust if you must, but the world's out there
with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around again.
Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
old age will come, and it's not kind.
And when you go - and go you must
you, yourself will make more dust!

I agree wholeheartedly Pat..and as a matter of fact, should be dusting but am instead painting. I like this, thanks for sharing it. :) I'll show it to my husband next time he complains of the dust on the living room tables. LOL :D

I'm a firm believer that dust was created to be a natural preserver that protects whatever it lands on from the nasty "ultra violet" and " sticky fingers", and as such , should not be disturbed......After all, who am I to challenge nature.....SO I DON'T!!
That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!

A house with dust is a lived in one , a home, I agree:)

This is what I wrote for guests a few years ago:)
TO OUR GUESTS
Welcome to our place of rest
We hope you’ll feel at home,
I haven’t done much housework
But feel free to have a moan
Cos the duster’s in the cupboard
And the cleaner’s in the hall
And don’t forget the cobwebs
Hanging from the walls
The windows they need cleaning
And the ironing pile is high
The laundry it needs doing -
“Oh stop!” I hear you cry!
Well go out to the garden
Pick a weed or three
We don’t charge too much for them
And to friends they’re often free
I haven’t done much baking
There’s not much in the tins
But the wine is in the chiller
And the cupboard’s full of gin
So enjoy your visit with us
We’re so glad that you have come
I just know we’ll have a lot of laughs
And heaps and heaps of FUN!!!!!
WELCOME TO OUR HUMBLE ABODE

Cute poem,
but in my house dusting is a must, I have year round allergies (& seasonal)
and one of the big culprits is dust. How I wish I could live by the poem.
