Welcome to Wet Canvas, bob! Something went haywire with your post, as there's no image to look at, so give it another try, please.

That is pretty solid. I hope the actual painting is as tight as the jpeg.

I absolutely love this piece! I see boats on the lake, and the clouds as a reflection in the water. I can see so much, and it's cool, cuz other people could see other things too. It's very, very subtle, but i like it that way. I'm not being polite to lessen the blow, I'm letting you kow the way it is. What were you aiming for when you did it????
interesting compo. that reminds me of our tidepools on Vancouver Is. but what attracts me is that I would probably see different scenarios too. good contrasts .

Shades of Turner and ...aaaargh, can't remember the name! Starts with D I think....ugh. Will get back to you! But with extra texture - scrummy!
I sat here thinking I must get out some acrylic and play around, I desperately want to get that really built up look and clumpy edges. Then thought - waitaminute! I've done that! But it's on a piece of paper tapes to my studio wall BEHIND another canvas. Sheesh. Gotta get a bigger studio! :D
Really like the stuff on your site too - has the same qualities. There are certain artists here like you and mame who I feel are just on that step above that I'm aiming for. Keep posting, it keeps some of us inspired!

Anthoni Tapies. That's who I was thinking of. :) T. D. Similar, right?
