I recently devised an attachment that allows you easy access to paper towels at your easel. All you need is an old paint roller, and a small cable clamp. See my sketch for details. Yax http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I used to use paper towels. But, I now use facial tissues. A large box of two ply costs $1 at the dollar store, and lasts a good while. Pull out a sheet and a new one pops up. They're the right size and are ideal when on go out to work on site.

I like your idea for use in the studio.

When I'm painting outdoors, I like to use a bungee cord (the ones with a hook on each end). I just hang the hooks on the drawer of my French easel.

Thanks for the tip on the bungee cord. I will certainly try that out. In the past, I have held the paper towel roll under my arm while painting outdoors. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
