We're exchanging xmas gifts at work and I created this as my gift. This is (...drumroll...) my first numbered set. I printed 9 full color, hi-rez copies to give to co-workers and will print a 10th and final one for myself on canvas paper. Then I'll create and keep a lower rez jpg for my files and delete the original file.

I used several references to create this image. Learned quite a bit about geishas while doing research for the image. The subject of the portrait is an amalgam of numerous reference.

Thanks, everyone! My co-workers all seemed pleased with the portrait so I guess I can call it a successful painting :).

It was fun to do and geishas are very interesting subjects. I think I'd like to try another, this time with the embroidered kimonos and hair ornamentation.

Digi sorry about the late post, but been having some Computer trouble... Waking Computer.

LOve this kinda of reminds me of a water Color. Backgreound is nice the way iot bring her into focus.
