Hi, first time posting here, I didn't even know it existed until a friend of mine on the acrylics forum posted her Son portrait here and asked me to peek...Thanx KA! ;)

Been working in acrylics for a while, so I thought I'd get my watercolour tubes back out and play for a bit. Going a bit zany and make full use of my colours :D ...

This looks lovely, serene and exciting at the same time! (Perhaps she looks serene, and the colors are exciting. :))

I've heard rumors about the Bockingford; what is it like for you working on it?

Hi Nitsa...So great to see you over here in the WIP. It is a great forum
Your painting is looking fabulous so far. Watching this one closely!
It is so exciting to see a painting develop.....

btw, is this from your imagination...or a ref. pic.

Friend Carol...Thankyou!
I love bockingford paper. I buy it in block form, so I don't have to stretch it and I use the 200lb for portrait work in watercolour. It's fantastic paper, all of it, but the 200lb gives you that little bit more confidence when you're working REALLY wet washes/layers. ;)

Hi Lisa! Thankyou!
It's from a ref in the RIL by TeAnne.

Wonderful colours Anita. You paint watercolours like I did. :D Little bits at a time. Although I have now come to the conclusion that there is no right or wrong way to paint. Whatever floats your boat.

Totally agree with you on the "boat" thing Carol...what are rules anyway? LOL!

It's now finished, you can view it HERE! (http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=265345) ;)
