I want to show off some of my mentor's beads, I hope that's ok. She hasn't gotten into WC yet, but I am working on her.
Her name is Marsha Farmer, marshabeads on e-bay, and she makes some of the most beautiful beads, including sculpturals, I have seen. Check them out!!
LOL! Great to see you still being silly, Mr. EB!
I have been working with some other mediums lately, but spring has inspired me to get back on the torch. Gotta love the butterflies and blooming trees!
here is a set of Monarch Butterflies~
have a great NEXT Thursday, yall~ ;)

Brent,
Wowza...your stuff just keeps getting better and better! I LOVE "gleaming"...so nice! Just calls me, ya know?
I'm a bit miffed (still!) at my hubby; asked him for a pendant of yours for my B-Day in March. Guess what I DIDN'T get?! :crying:
Guess I can't complain, cause he's really a great guy, just a bit...uh.... sometimes!
And we do have an anniversary coming up in September! :D

Good day, all!
Mr. Smiley - I love your boro pendants! You always do such beautiful work ;) The first and the third ones are my favorites!
Kathy - Marsha's beads are gorgeous! The color combo in the first set is wonderful.
Juls- Absolutely wonderful butterflies! I'm so jealous...been messing around with the Monarch theme for over a year now and can't ever come up with anything I like -- but I LOVE yours!
Here is my humble offering for the day....
I was inspired to make these beads when I was reading DD a book called "The Little Lost Duckling". It is such a beautiful book.. each picture on every single page is embossed into heavy stock and has wonderful texture as well as illustrations. Anyway, there is a theme of these wandering vines in the book and, well let's just say I think I went a bit nuts - all I want to do is make vines on things. I'm sure it will pass soon enough....lol, but for now -
I don't know what order they'll end up in, but they're all Effetre. I didn't make the murrini (don't have the skill for that), but they were fun to play with nonetheless!

ROFL... you're a funny boy Mr. Smiley!! I love ALL your pendants... I WILL have one someday!
It's been a very productive day for me today. It's so cozy working away in the studio when wind is buffeting the house... such a comfort zone! Here's another bracelet... it has lots of bali and big crystals in it. Can you tell I just recieved a crystal order? {grin} And this is one of the best boro sets I've done I think...

great work every one. Here is one from me. I have not had time to photograph much, I am slaving away for the Virginia Hot Glass Festival. Anybody near Staunton, Virginia should come and check out all of the demos and artists at the show.

Hi Folks,
I finally got some torch time this week when I didnt have to make medieval style beads, so i just had a play. I messed around with some asymetrical designs, which seem quite popular now, but I havent really tried them before. The one with the blue stripe is even more lobsided than I intended - I ran out of gas in the middle of it! :)

Good Morning! It's been a while since I've put anything up and I really like this set. It's just black, white, and yellow Effetre. The beads are pretty small...the largest is about 9x13mm and the smallest is 4x7mm.
Have a great day everyone!

Good morning!! Another great showcase!! Everyone is doing great work!!
Brent, I just love your work! It always amazes me. Wonderful talent.. not just technically, but, with your color choices... beautiful.
Karen, pretty set! I love tiny beads.
Lori, I love YOUR vivid imagination! Wonderful!
Here are a few I did a while back.. not much new lately. I believe I have beadmaker's block... I've been in a funk for a while and need to get out of it! I had an order for strawberry cats for a school project, and did 30 of the same cat... kiss of death for my poor mind. I'm lucky to repeat patterns well enough to make one set!! lol

Well if I have to stare at something till next thursday this isn't a bad bunch. I love ALL of it. Oh BTW , I was making a pendant the other night with all the things I learned at the spring fling, it had a heather like dragonfly , A Brent loop And since Lori has taught me everything I know about Boro a lot of her in it too, and I COOKED my finger , not just burned it , Cooked stuck my finger tip right in the flame. So needless to say didn't finish the pendant but I promise I will get back to the flameworking . But here's some more of the fused pendants.
Great stuff everyone, all the talent and technical skills make me smile.
I feel a bit out of sorts the last couple of days. Wonder why, but just not into 'anything'! Feels like auto-pilot or something.
Only time I felt 'right' was at the torch. Maybe I should just stay there. LOL

Well the beads are just Moretti beads but I am showing my first tutorial for improving photos by Lori Greenberg (thanks babe). It was very easy to understand. Please keep in mind that the actual photograph was not the best to begin with.
OH YEAH, I have not made just round beads in forever!

Since it's almost time for Monday's show and tell, I thought I'd put something up for Thursday's S&T. (Now that I think about it, can I do that...?) This is a set of dark red moretti beads that have had a type of cane we make at Flamewerks that looks like wood grain.
