Yikes! I haven't finished anything new since February. This is my girlie ode to spring.
A while back somebody posted nice garden pictures with some fruit tree blossoms. This set is a fusion between those pics -- and my mom's jade bracelets, which are green to lavender, so this is more stylistic than realistic.
Much love,
Barb

Barb,
I love the soft, delicate look! The way you photographed it works sooo well! Wish I could do that too.
So, how do you top this?

Hey Barb, do you have a website where we can see more? And do you ever teach classes, as I would love to learn from you.

Aw gosh, you guys-- I'm glad you think they're pretty.
Maureen, Wet Canvas IS my website!!! LOL. I have some space at glass artists.org, but my buds here at WC! have seen it all, first.
I will be doing some tutorials for magazines in the upcoming months, so I'll post that info when it's available.
No, I don't teach classes -- I'm still in R&D! Plus, I think I'd have performance anxiety -- I'm prone to using the S and F-words when things go wrong. Better that I stay in the Bat Cave. :p

HA! Yet another reason to like you! You have the mouth of a sailor! If I were to ever teach a class, (ha ha) I'd have to make it a rule; everyone involved must utter the F word under their breath three times as they enter the room....just to get warmed up!
LOVE the set, BTW! But you knew that, didn't you? :p

Those are unreal... they look like branches from a magical tree, a place fairies would live. How long did it take you to make all those? They're astonishing!

Fantasticly executed! If I had to guess the amount of time that went into those I know I would be waaaaay off. They make me want to put my nose right up to them and breath deeply. I know my mind would keep telling me they smell sweet.... even if they are glass. Bravo Barb! Such impressive work no one can duplicate I am sure!

Oh, thank you Kalera!
They really take an obscenly stupid amount of time to make, but it fits with my obsessive personality. I usually spend a few days to a week making components, and then another week or two putting it together, completely disabling the entire surface of the kitchen counter during the process. Somehow I ended up with seed beads in my yogurt yesterday. Geez.
I'll move heaven and earth to make something once, and then would rather set myself on fire than have to make a second. These are all one-of-a kind gallery pieces.
Pax,
