Here's a different type of portrait I suppose. . . It's a scratchboard of my father sleeping on the couch (as he does quite often) It's pretty big. . .I'm think 11 x 15 maybe.

I'd be interested to hear about your choice of material for this. Is it just what you happened to have or something you wanted to try out or did you choose it to suit your subject?

Oh my this is awesome work. I can't imagine how you had the patience to do this. I would be a mess if I tried this. Very very nice.

Thanks everyone- this did take a while, though not too bad :) Let's see, this was actually going to be done in dry point, but my art teacher decided that we wouldn't have time before Christmas break and that we were going to be doing scrathboard instead- so I didn't exactly have a choice as to the medium, but I just tried to make it work.
