at this pukifying stage I don't know which color will weeein. It's the way I usually begin, creating chaos out of which I hope to create order. It's not even to the teenage stage yet, but one would hope that with the beating in of color, little bits will be left to sparkle up the painting. Will it be a dark painting? or a pale yellow? I don't know at this stage. I hope it will start talking to me. :cat:

The last time a painting talked to me it asked for my credit card. I think this is a good start. Iíll be watching to see what you make of this. Good luck. :)

I donít understand what youíre doing, but I like the looks of this thing when it is turned on its side as in the posting just above. I am starting to see a rivulet coming down the center with a growth of sumac and aalge and lichen covered granite on either side. I think Iím just too anal retentive to just turn lose and see where the paint takes me. I want to know where Iím going before I start. You are a brave person.

OH NO. ...lol... I will not see the koi, I will not see the koi. If I start thinking representational, I can't work on this. lol. Just my way of painting. That is unless I go representational, but anyway, thanks for the comments y'all...I think I've messed it up because I killed some of the orange...well, I'll have to reshoot. This isn't one of those that just "fell out." But sometimes in all that beating it into submission, lots of good things happen. :p
remains to be seen.

I wimped it up. oh dang dang. I was in a hurry and all it really needed was a few well thought out strokes. It was so close and then I wimped it up. Dang. I was trying to establish my light/dark pattern. Oh well, I can jazz it up again, but sometimes it's good when it's a little bit wild and raw and not as safe, but this probably won't be as good as it might have been. Anyway, here's the wimped out version

Wimped doesnít look bad. Itís obvious you have something in mind here. Looking at this I feel you gave this a lot of thought and it shows. The colours work well, the texture adds a lot for the eye and it feels very intuitive. I think itís very good. :)

Ah Bruce (my ex-husband's name btw) lol. Yes, it WAS intuitive..the middle version, then I went to thinkin and thinkin is BAD for an abstract expressionist painting. It must be intuitive, but it has to be RIGHT. lol. It was so close. Now I have to try to get back into the intuitive frame of mind. That's hard. It almost has to "come off" quickly. So I have to rethink this and then throw out all thought and CHARGE. lol.
dangme :crying:

I love the way this is developing. When will you know when to stop? Its done for me now. Can't see that view in it at all - much more aqua oriented. Don't see Koi either, just reflections.

Oh good Present. lol. Glad there aren't any koi. I'll know when it's done when every area in the painting is resolved. Right now the light area isn't integrated, nor very interesting. And it tells me when it's done. lol
