This is one of my Pen and Ink Animal Head paintings -- this one being a Sugar Glider.
Penned on Watercolour Paper with a Rapidograph Technical Pen. Size is 3"x3".

Very interesting technique. Pen and ink is such a detailed medium. I've not worked with it in years. Your detail is excellent. Would you consider a watercolor wash over this? Although, the piece looks so amazing just as it is. Very well done, excellent!!

Beautifully done! Have you ever seen Sueellen Ross's work and book?

Before I saw the picture, I thought 'sugar glider' was some kinda fancy table decoration! I see it's a very cute little animal very well drawn in pen & ink. How big are they in real life?

Thankyou so much M. Smyth. Yes, I do put Watercolour washes on my Pen and Ink quite often. I haven't done it with the animals and birds set I am doing, but who knows, I may change my mind one day.

Thankyou Bertoni. No I haven't seen Sueellen Ross's work or book, but I will try to hunt something up. It has me intrigued. Thanks for the thumbs up.

Thanks bullyluvver -- much appreciated. Sugar Gliders are flying possums, and I'd say they are about 12" long (not including tail), but I stand to be corrected.
