Digital camera...bmp only...how do I get jpg

I have a cheap/new digital camera...tried to upload...and got from WC we dont take bmp pics....how do I get jpeg....???

You will need some sort of image converter, or photo manipulation package.
One of my favourites being MGI Photosuite4
You just click on your Bitmap, and save it as a Jpeg image.
If you are stuck, feel free to send me the image as BMP, I will convert it for you into Jpeg, and return it to you.

You can't upload bitmaps but you can attach them to your thread.

The attach option is in the reply page, underneath the box where you type your text.

It's not a particularly user friendly option because:
people can't see the image - it appears as a link which they download to their computer
bitmap files are much larger so it is a bigger download

Did you get any software with the camera that you might be able to use to convert the files?

For file conversion try Irfanview, it converts between tons of formats, and it is free to individuals.

Microsoft Paint (included with Windows) allows you to open a BMP and save it as a JPG. Although far from the best editor around it can perform this at least.
