what kind of girl?

definitely someone cute.

someone who can make him laugh.

but he also needs someone who's gonna push him.

someone who's gonna make him do things...

he never thought he could do.

I love your work. I should have said more but I'm so busy. Very well done.

This is a wonderful example of a well done collage. :D Good work.

Hmmm...

Can't see an congruity between the photos and the background visually, metaphoricaly, or on any level. And graphicaly the design seems quite weak to me.

Wish I could see what others see in the work, maybe I'm just too old or put too much emphasis on the image rather than the words. :(

FWIW,

I like the title and photo's...I would like the finished work more if the photo's emerged into your painted area. I think the impact would be increased if that was happening.

I do hope you'll post more though...I learn so much from every post here.

Don to me its like one of those old reel to reel movie projectors that always skipped and jerked the frames when it was started up and had fuzz on the film and lens, only this ones colorized and broke up into its separate elements fuzz to the sides pretty girl who doesnt really exist except on celluloid to the center. :p "course I could be nuts too. *L* But I still like this piece. :D

Im looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will take me for myself,
And if I find my hard headed woman,
I wont need nobody else, no, no, no.

Im looking for a hard headed woman,
One who will make me do my best,
And if I find my hard headed woman
I know the rest of my life will be blessed -- yes, yes, yes.

-- Cat Stevens

I like the feeling this emits.

hey bestof, good to see you back. I thought you were goen there for awhile.

it's hard for me to imagine this any other way, which is one way I judge any art I see, as to whether it could be "improved" from my point of view. Then, whether I can relate or not, I can at least approach it as IIWII --it is what it is.

It seems to me you've done an admirable balancing act in the composition, balancing that huge area of almost continuous black to the right (at least on my cheap-a$$ monitor) with the rest of the painting.

It has lots of drama, as befits the "concept (?)" with almost a "hellish" feel. My impression is of a young beautiful vivacious woman being somehow consumed, perhaps obliviously, by hellish flames.

that was fun...:D
