This is an old cabinet we picked up at a garage sale a few years ago. Originally it was plain pine, which I had painted with a very dark black-green, leaving the top natural. While sitting in a waiting room one time, a magazine I was leafing throught had a photo of an armoire to die for! So I went home and painted this cabinet with a similar design.
I based the cabinet in a few coats of sand colour interior house paint, then applied a coating of crackle medium. Then, I painted over it with Ceramcoat 'antique white' craft paint. All of the molding is painted with 'toffee', a peach colour, and the border inside the panels is a wash of the peach. After it was finished, I spattered lightly some fine speckles of black-green.
Total cost? About $15.00.
