I even have that new newbie smell... Honest!

I've been skulking about the Glass Art forums for about a week or so, bought a 'Fireworks' intro flamework kit from Hobby Lobby and have been playing with fire and glass off and on all week. So far, I know that I know just enough to get myself into trouble, and that's about it... oh, and make a simple bead or two.

Ideally I'd love to be making glass sculptures in the relatively near future... maybe some basic glass casting or the like, but I'll certainly need a lot more equipment and know-how to get there.

Anyway, to my point here...

I also paint miniatures for wargames (I manage a game store here in Indy)... little tiny buggers.. most no bigger than an inch, or to at most... But I guess that sort of scale isn't out of the ordinary at all around here and I was wondering if such things would qualify as 'Miniature Art' as defined by this forum. Let me know, I'd love to join the fun.

Maybe an example or two might help. The space-ship model that fits into the medium-large catagory for what I usually work with. To give you a sence of scale, the flat portion of the base is 1 and a quarter inches across... just a smiggin bigger than a US quarter. The orc shamen fellow is on a one inch square base.

Paul, welcome to the Miniature Art forum! What interesting work you've done!

Yes, mini sculptures are permitted in this forum. The only specific exclusions we have at the current time are jewelry, digital art, and photographs. Lady Rando has posted some charming mini sculptures too, and somebody even posted a fabulous miniature garden!
