I have this tube of gold paint that I can't leave alone.I love using it.
This is 3.5 x 5 - made for a frame I already had.

Looking good!
Just wondered where those vertical lines in the painting are from?

Its gesso- applied very thick. It really shows up in the digital.

That is a neat frame!!!
I had that gesso problem leaving streaks. It drove me bonkers and I finally solved the problem by using pregessoed smooth 1/8" thick masonite. Now I'm trying to find the best way to cut those boards to miniature sizes!!!
I've been using around 3 different type of acrylic gold including a liquid acrylic gold FW. :)

I found the frame at TJ Max and made the painting for it ;-) The frame has bits of gold showing.

I just had a bid on it yesterday on Overstock.com so it will be going to a good home, somewhere.

Bertoni - the problems with cutting the boards is one reason I'm painting on paper. Sometimes I do an underpainting - or at least paint areas with the gold and then use a paint over it that is translucent. Nice effects. Or work it in wet into wet.

I'll have to try those effects!! Sounds good!!! And will also try TJMax for frames!!!
Does Overstock.com have an art auction? I usually get my art books there!!!

Wow this is beautiful - question, do you find that your gold looks green??? (Mine does  ).

No - I'm using a Liquitex Gold Painters acrylic and the color stays true. I love it.
Yes Bertoni - in fact I sold this piece on my Ovrstock.com auction. Listing there is VERY inexpensive and no monthly committment. I've found it to be a very friendly place. Go to Overstock, Auctions, Art, Self Representing Artists - its easy to list there.

Lovely picture - I had a gold leaf pen I had the same problem with. It was a blessing when it finally dried up, lol!
