This is that little study put forth to a little larger pastel. It is in the 'rough' stage right now and have to hault the work for now due to others painting that needs to be done. :D It is WIP will be posting as it progresses.

I still dont have the range of colors especially darks yet though! :evil: Does color seem alittle off?

Here is about 40 minutes into it just moving pigments around looking for that right feel, well that's it for tonight on this hog. Going back to painting right now. Have been back and forth all night one of those ones, but :evil: American Idol :evil: is on too :wink2: Yeah right!!!!!!!! Paint....
Hey Marc if you are out there I added those oaks that were there to fill the void I felt was lurking in the oil, and I will bring them down in brightness alittle.
A step foward or maybe back :D

WOW Ben,
It's coming along nicely, I will say that color adds a lot of spark!
But i do miss that great movement you had in the snow early on in this peice

Nice progress to date - what sort of pastels are you using? And whose make are the darks?

Sorry to not keeping you all posted on this WIP, just have four other paintings going right now. I am rotating as soon as I can.
