Started it an hour ago.
Acrylic over the stretched canvas, 12" by 16". Used a refference photo from WC! Image library.
Lately I was working with oil only and forgot how fast acrylic dries :wink2: :D

I adore sunflowers so very much. Always have some in my garden.
Yours look alive already. Seems they are shouting something. :D

Hi Julia - This ARE August aren't they? :::sigh::
Yellows and blues play well. It does seem like the bouquet is split into two halves.
Is that some baby's breath there? I like the way the leaves come out past the pitcher - you could have a shadow of those leaves on the blue if you wanted. I feel like the two blooms on the right are really stretching trying to get to the edge. The dark centers are working well.

No, there are no babybreaths, just filled the spaces for right now :)
The two sunflowers on the right : I will shorten their petals and it will give some "breathing" space on the right. It is a gallery wrap canvas though does not have to be framed. Will work on tonight . Did not have time yesterday.

Good work so far. The bottom seems unbalanced.........or maybe the top seems top heavy....anyway shadows across the bottom should fix that :)
