I just started my first miniature oil painting on stretched canvas. I normally work in various sizes. In the past I have done anything from 5 inch by 7 inch paintings to 8 feet by 4 feet paintings but I really like the 24 inch by 36 inch size for my portraits. But I've used every size in between. This painting is a 4 inch by 4 inch. Its going to be different but I enjoy using the very small brushes even on the very large paintings. My professor, when I was in college, got upset because I was using Size 0, 2, and 4 brushes on a 24 inch by 36" inch painting. She took them away from me and hid them - but I had backup. She didnt know that I was a DickBlick and Daniel Smith king. I have more art supplies than they have in stock - well not really but almost!!!
