This is an interesting colour reaction I got when playing with Silvered Ivory scrolled with EDP !
In 'real life' the scrolls look peachy pink to coral shades.

Sorry, I'm confused with how you got the reaction? It looks like you have wrapped the base bead in metal leaf and then scrolled on silvered ivory or silvered EDP?

Lovely bead!

Thanks for the clarification!

Hi Cindy,

It was ivory base, rolled in silver foil and then scrolled with EDP :)

THANKS everyone for your lovely words :D

Silver with EDP is the formula for my signature bead... Leaves of glass.

EDP does react with silver... the silver can become quite bronze or golden...and there tends to be a reaction around the perimeter of some orange on the edp.

Very cool reaction, and a lovely bead! Did you reduce it at all?

Oh, man, I wish my torch was in MY basement and not in my mom's. Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow after school; it's going to be a loooong day.

cool bead Lily!

Whenever I use EDP over silvered ivory I still get the pinkish tones... just wondering what kind of flame you used? I usually use a reducing flame so wondering whether yours was neutral?

GREAT bead!! The colors are great!

I was wondering, too, if the EDP devitrified? Can't tell from the pic.

Lily, that is a fabulous find and very kind of you to share! The bead is just gorgeous. And I too, like Cindy, saw the ivory scrolls instead at first, gotta reverse it in your mind, then you see it!! Beautiful!:D

Well,it's tomorrow and I tried the edp on silvered dark ivory.Turned out just as you said it would.Tried two ways.First I tried it with burnishing and burning off silver and then applying edp.Next I tried burnishing, applying edp and burning off silver.Slightly different results. Both good.Thanks,Roger.

My results were not as good as Roger's. Wonder if it's because I'm on a HH.

Here's a dumb question - what is EDP? A search of this site gave no response.

Thanks,
Pam

It's Moretti Purple 254 (please correct me if that's wrong) and EDP is a nickname: Evil Devitrifying Purple.
