Oh Bev, I love Cats and these are marvellous. Nice bold colours and I love their little eyes and quirky smiles...The one it the middle is my favourtie.
Its so funny, that you posted this today, because I am working on project covering several paintings from my travels with cats in them...I usually paint my cats from the back because I cant seem to find a good face for them..you know.
Your faces are super. Great job!

YEs...I agree. They do have a secret society. *LOL* the middle cat....that look is one my male cat "Bubba" gets quite often. I always wonder why he stares like that...with his eyes wide open. :D

Cat on left: "ah, jeez, she's painting us again"
Cat in middle: "should we run and hide?"
Cat on right: "Nah, let's just sit here and stare. make her squirm"

Bev, you're having entirely too much fun! :D

how could i not with these characters.
i can imagine the many gossipy stories they tell as they get
stoned on catnip and sit around the litter box.

The middle one: "Guys, you are 'stonned' well by the catnip and can stare forever but I think I need some more of that grass , I am loosing my stare..."

They are very funny.
I would call it contemporary.
