This is stunning. But I don't understand the reference to Painter 9. ?

it's lovely - the eyes and mouth are very very good and the eyes are absolutely luminous :cat:

I would prefer some loose marks in the bottom left hand corner? it ends a bit abruptly there?

edit: ooops I mean right

This is a digital painting, done with a graphics tablet, using software which mimics the appearance of pastels, rather than a "real world" pastel - it's extremely welcome here, (but in the submission form "digital", and "computer" would have been the recommended choices for medium and surface :) )

As I said in the WIP thread, I think this is absolutely super - in fact it's quite mognificent :D

It's a great example of the "selective focus" idea - not putting "unimportant" areas down in great detail (though having encouraged this in the first place, it could be developed a little more in the paws)

Very "Sargent"

I was going to state digital art, and grapics tablet, but it waasn't offered in setup, I forgot I hadn't posted in Open forum and hadn't told everyone that is what I used. Just in WIP. Sorry.

I still think that the body should be a bit more developed. Maybe just mention a few pieces of fur kinda like you did with the paws. Just a bit in the chest area to show the fur's fullness.

(no need to apologize about the "technical description" - it's no problem - I just wanted to clarify for people who were a bit unsure :) )

Looking forward to seeing lots more here from you!

So you've just got Painter, my oh my. What can I say? The softness and use of colour in the fur is beautiful. I just wondering what you'll come up with when you actually master the software. I'm looking forward to that.

When I read pastel I thought ... almost unbelievable. Then it said Painter and it was believable. Super finish ......... !
Do you print these digitals on your home printer ?
