This idea has been floating around in my head for a while. I was having a bad glass day so I decided to make something fun. This is what happened. The name is because I think the vortex would eat you as is sucks you down. The purple speaks for itself. I love the look of Double Amber Purple.

Holy Vortex, Batman! That's gorgeous! You know, I don't think folks realize how long it takes to make marbles like this. Would you share that with us? I watched some glorious marbles being created at AGI last summer, and I couldn't believe how long it took!

Hey Tink,

Thanks for the compliments. This one is 2 and 1/2" and it took me about 1 and 1/2 HOT hours. So much time very well spent.

I was attempting to make a vessel today and my bead release kept breaking loose and so I decided to make this to vent and feel good about something.

It will be soon. Thank you for the kind words. I need to show my parents. I know that sounds corny but they want to see it and I do not like to take listed items out of the house. Just in case the worst might happen. So a couple of days.

The first word out of my mouth: Damn... And I meant it. :D
That's amazing work, and I want to mention also that it is so cool that you want to show your parents - I do the same with some of my beads to my Dad, so I completely understand. Good for you!

The marble is spectacular...it's like gazing at a miniature planet in a galaxy other than our own. I bet Northstar would love to use it as a fantastic example of what can be achieved with their product!!!!
Great work!

Hi, wonderful marble - and I am with the people that think it is great that you want to show your parents. One of my joys these days is showing my work to my Dad. He gets such a kick out of it. and if I give him something, he shows it off, all over town. Quite wonderful, considering my being an artist drove him "mad" most of our lives. SO wonderful you have your parents support - Virginia

Hey there,

Been checking out your ebay auctions... and they just gave me the biggest compliment ( at least... that is how I take it :wink2: )

I can not see all of your beads because...I'm too young according the ebay rules. They have an adult audience warning issued... and because I'm not from the states... I am not allowed to see it, how stupid is that!!!!

Love. Suzanne
