Arghh! I was in the middle of a very productive torch session when I ran out of o2.. No problem - all I had to do was switch tanks - except the tank I brought home the other day is EMPTY! I hate when that happens, don't you?!

Meanwhile, simple but pretty - lentils in pale emerald and Glassdaddy purple:

I tried to start the show and tell process but you were one step ahead of me. :D Anyways the first set I just sold on ebay tonight and the second I just put up.

I love the colors of your lentils!!

 Hi Teri, the beads are very nice and simplicity is what makes them in my opinion. Please will you tell me what press you are using?
Thanks Anat

Teri, love the lentils, hey.....why don't cha get an oxygen concentrator...then no more worries about the oxygen. Misty very nice beads, congrats on the sell on the bay. Here is an order I made before I put it together for her. I love this combo--probably because its a floral, the first row I will make into a necklace- a bicone and 4 beads, the 2nd row a long bead and two beads with vines for a bangle bracelet and then a pair for earrings

Good morning!
Teri--I love transparent lentils...they just are so shiney!
Linz---Nice spring colors in the first set.

Here is a face murrini portrait....Brianna....the second picture is the other side...it has flowers, grapes, and vines. These are another series that I have been working on for Tucson.

Have a great Thursday.

Thanks Anat! I use Corina's lentil press - the regular one with 13, 15 & 18mm sizes...

I do have a concentrator, but I need to do some rewiring before I can use it again. Besides, I prefer the flame the tanked O2 gives me.

Hi everyone...
Another great start to this morning's S & T.
Tom was trying to make a bracelet yesterday and wasn't happy with it, so it ended up being a dolphin and a *serpentine* pendant.
Have a great day,
:) Tom & Karen :)

We have a few fresh vessels to share today. Scott's been working with dichro and also some mystery non-dichro glass purchased from a local glass biz that seems to be stuck in a time warp since approx. 1972. They keep all records by hand and use calculators to figure up your total! Fun and, oh, the sparkle of dichro!

I don't get much torch time so I'm trying a combination of seed beads and lampwork. I'm interested to see if there will be interest on the bay.

Mr. Smiley, I really like the new centered loops on the hearts. The hearts are very pretty too, btw.

Josie, a very interseting effect. cool.

Have a good day everyone.

Oh the fairy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lovely beads everyone!!!!! I am addicted to making these little stripe'y beads.

01-20-2005, 10:32 AM
Everyones beads are so pretty today. You all put me in my place and inspire me at the same time.

When I first started doing beads I was in love with Kim Miles beads (still am), but when I tried them they just looked like wonky blobs of glass. I was so discouraged I didn't try them anymore.Kim makes it look so easy. So when I saw the spotlight challenge thread, I knew exactly which bead I wanted to try..... a floral.

These are a couple that I did along with a a keychain( man style) for my brother for his B-day. I was so very excited when I got these out of the kiln. The other floral keychain is going to his girlfriend. Can't send one person a present and not the other,LOL.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day

My goodness, what pretty beads today! There's a poll right now about whether things are new or if they've been done before... I voted it's been done. But, when I sign on and look at the work here each time I have been convinced that although I see that even though a shape or color may have been done before... there's SOOO much in the imaginations of an artist that is new... every time.

Ok... enough from my soapbox.

Here are a few (been done before) kitties.. done in a (hopefully) new way!

01-20-2005, 10:57 AM
so many beauties today!

Here is a Valentine set made with transparent red...

It's still early here in the Pacific NW, but the ambitious beaders have posted so many beauties already. I am adding a new pendant, effetre black and opal yellow. I hope this size picture is OK - I am experimenting with a new camera.
