Ideas for our new forum

Hello everyone. How are you all enjoying your new home? Nice to have a place to call your own, isn’t it. :)

JamieWG and I have a few ideas for the forum. One thing we would like to start is a weekly or monthly project/challenge. This project/challenge can be for paintings that either fit within the forums size restrictions or within the requirements of different miniature organizations. It would be nice if a regular project/challenge could be run by the members, signing up for your turns in advance.

So let us know if you would like to do this as a weekly project or a monthly project? Also, once we decide if this is going to be weekly or monthly we’ll need to know when you each would like to lead one.

Hi Tamara (and Jamie),

I voted monthly because I feel that having it weekly would not give some members the amount of time they need and if they were to participate in last week's project/challenge, so to speak, while the current week's project/challenge was in effect, there might be some confusion and it might take away from the interest of the current week's project/challenge.....hope you understand what I'm saying :D ! Also, there might not be enough members who would want to lead them on a weekly basis.

Would this be an in-forum project or part of the WC! project system?

Since I am a rookie. I would like to be involved in leading one later, rather than sooner, so I can get the feel of it. :)

I voted for monthly as there are so many things to try on the other forums as well. Besides if a person wanted to we could do more than one painting based on the project. (one a week maybe for the person with the time).
Being very new to the website I would like to host later as well. Maybe after tax season (as I do taxes) when I have more of a life again.

Monthly please - what with WDEs, monthly Acrylics projects and Classrooms I'm finding it hard to fit the Guiding in! - or, rather, fit the painting into the Guiding :wink2: :D
I had hoped minis would mean less time spent on painting while still producing something, but having quickly become addicted, I resent the time away from the mini studio/palette/brushes............... :D (Must get back over to Acrylics :wink2: ). Bye........
