Hi everyone
My second week wasn't as good as the first but I still lost 2 lbs so I'm not gunna whine..much..LOL. I really have to get into some excersize if I want this to go much faster and more so to get my muscle strength back to where it should be. I hope you all had a great weekend and are not as freezing as I am right now...I won't say what the temp is because many of you would have to laugh at me BUT it is very cold to me dang it. At the same time it is a bright beautiful day and I just got the go ahead to take holiday leave today!!!! Yeahhh I'm going to work on my website  that should put me in a bad mood lOL

Hello WLC!
Well, after majorly blowing it, I am back right where I started from. I can only imagine how many pounds I've gained, lost, gained...
Anyway, everyday is a new beginning. So, I'll venture out into the cold and pick up some more healthy choices. A modified low carb diet seems to be the easiest for me. Mostly I just cut out the sugar, breads, rice, pasta. I am also going to have my DS bring out the treadmill again and get in some exercise. Also, more H2O!!
Hang in there everyone~ :D

Deb, just keep going, you have a great attitude. A temporary gain is, uh, temporary. ;)
Darlene, it is so easy to let one slip happen, and then rationalize some more. The cold weather is sort of a deterent to outside exercise isn't it? I don't have any exercise equipment, so we only walk. It has been too cold for me the last couple of days.
chrisann, 2 pounds is a really great loss. Imagine that adding up over the long run!
I'm down a total of 7 pounds, I think that is another 5.5 from last week. I have been getting really bad nosebleeds (again  ), so I went to the doctor before I ended up in emergency (again). This time, it seems that I have developed high blood pressure, so I'm on a diuretic (forgive me the spelling) for a month. I'm guessing that helped with the big drop... because I haven't been that good.

Well I'm heading off to the gym soon. No 3 feet of snow to contend with this morning....
Cant remember if I told everyone about Fridays venture to the gym?.....
Well I was happy to finally get out to the gym on Friday as I had been snowed in on Wed/Thurs plus had a really bad migraine....so finally I get to head off to the gym and guess what happens? I'm just a few hundred yards from the gym and another vehicle comes sliding down the road sidways and smashes into me.
Well It did more damage to her vehicle than mine, mine was minor. So after doing the insurance stuff, I continued on to the gym. Now usually I only do about 20 min of cardio. Well I met a lady (for the first time)there while I was on the cardio machine and we started chatting, I don't normally chat while working out. But anyhow ....20 minutes turned into about 45 and instead of burning my usual 250 calories I did over twice that amount. Tee! hee!
Too funny! So I did get a good workout...my car? Well I have to take it in tomorrow to see how much damage. Her insurance will be paying for it so...but it shouldn't be too much.
Well here goes!.....Hope today is a better one. Now I'm inspired to work out even longer....Have a good one everyone!

HI All!
Shari...you are in a chipper mood considering your car is damaged! I am glad you are ok! I woulda been freaking out!
My weekend was not that great food wise, starting with the blood giving/dr. appt on Friday......I bought a happy meal that day!
Saturday was ok, I was traveling to St. Louis for a Stephanie Sersich class, on the way home that night (driving in snow) I got another happy meal and small ice cream later one.
Sunday was back on track (even still lost some lbs) and today I am doing ok.Just an icky cold!
So far, I am down 8 lbs. woo hoo!....uh...I am aiming for a 40lb loss....then re-evaluating. So I am 20% there!

Quick Fly By,
I could have been better, but I didn't do bad. I have even put my miles on the elleptical this morning. Now, keep the water coming and I could fly by, haven't been on the scales in a few days, I might jump on them tomorrow.
Keep all the good work up guys. I hate to tell you I am off to have Chinese, but I can eat the stir fried, mushrooms, salad and boiled shrimp and stay where I need to be!

Fly by from me too! I'm tooooootally stressed and I ate some of the kids pizza at dinner, simply because I hadn't organized anything else for myself to eat as I have been doing on previous days.
I found out I'm a stress eater, I never thought I was until now!
I'll read the messages later, when I've destressed a bit!

I have had a tough week and it is only Monday!!! I guess I count my week from when I last went to a WW meeting til the next one...we have had company single day since last Wednesday...first my in-laws were here, then my BIL, SIL and nephews...having four boys in the house under the age of 4 can really stress a person! Plus we went and did all the fun touristy stuff with them and ate out! I tried to make good choices, but like last night we had Mexican food and I had steak fajitas (no cheese, no sour cream, no guac), wrapped in lettuce leaves, but I swear I had a food hangover this morning..I even had nightmares about Mexican food...I dreamed I ate everyone's refried beans and demolished a pile of sopapillas....it was a horrible dream...kinda like if you have ever quit smoking and then in your dream you still smoked....Anyway, I still wasn't as good as I was last week! At least the company is gone and I can get back in a groove until we head off to St. Louis later in the week!
Have a good evening everyone!!!

hey guys...I actually weighed today since new years...and lost 8 pounds...so that is cool...I guess the first two weeks of starting atkins over did its job and kick started me. This makes a total of 40 pounds since last February.
I have 25 more to go...I hope...least thats my goal, 30 would be primo.
did fine today...a bar for breakfast...atkins "cookies and cream" and black coffee
lunch: half atkins cinn/raisen bagel with whipped berry cream cheese
snack: an atkins peanut nut roll/'bar...and diet pepsi.
and bacon wrapped scallops and salad (romaine lettuce/thin slices of carrot, celery, onion, bacon bits and parmasean w/no carb italian and ranch mixed) for dinner
aaaaa and an apple martini / jolly rancher style made with low carb sweet and sour.
no exercise/just finishing getting rid of this cough...hopefully tomorrow I will get back on the elliptical/Dan doens't come home for lunch tomorrow...so more time in the day tomorrow to make sure I get that in.
more water and excercise needed here...the food is going ok, under control...I think what really helps is Dan and I practicing the same eatting practice and realizing we are changing our eatting habits as a way of life change.
I would love to loose that 25 before we take our vacation in May...just half would work for me :D I have a bunch of tropical capri's and stuff I bought on clearance end of summer to take with me...they are gonna fit perfect...
now to pick our cruise or our destination
keep up the good work you guys...its nice to come here and be able to know others are wanting the same end
