Lulu,
You haven't posted for a while--and what a post. Love this. It has a great palette, cohesive composition, balance, and a surrealistic quality to it. Very nice piece of art! :)

PALudeking,
Yep--you are right on--I had to come back and take another look before I went to bed. There is something about this painting I find enchanting and mystical.

Great to see you around again, Lulu! The blue on this is ethereal as that in a dream or vision. The texture on the green is gorgeous. And that red exquisitely placed. It's like a biyou of the mind where there's inevitable choice. The message is subtle - the conveyance profound.

thank you all very much for responding to this, very much appreciate it.

Tamana, you've put into words what I was feeling but couldn't describe so eloquently.
The 'green' is actually gold and bronze, but perhaps it has a green tinge to it.

thank you so much. I also wish it was larger! Was asked to do it this size (commission) but might try similar ideas on a large canvas.

very interesting approach/technique

the crosses bug me a bit, and the red seems to stand alone at the bottom
I'd love to see more in this style, though

nice to see you too ;)
