Hi I am a printmaker, These are some etchings of flowers I have done. They are 1.75 x 2 inches. They are engraved on a zinc plate then printed using carbonnel inks.

Hello and Welcome

Your work is absolutely beautiful, and so delicate.

I particularly like the Iris, but they are all lovely.

I hope to see more of your work as time goes by.
Val.

Very fine. Interesting process. Look like they would frame up really well.

They're exquisite - I can see them mounted and set in a huge frame!
Beautiful :D

They are very delicate, with the characteristics of a botanical color sketch.
How do you load the ink on them? with a brush?

Thanks all for yourkind words.
The ink is applied to the plate first using a tiny piece of stiff cardboard, I scape the plate with ink then push the ink into the recesses using a stiff cloth called tarletan, then wipe I the whole plate with soft paper from a phone book, then I go back in to do the color using a rubber tipped brush, then I have to wipe that off a bit with the soft paper.

The black flower was printed as a relief print, the ink was applied using a brayer. This one is a bit tricky as the ink has to be very stiff so it will not go into the bitten part. I used lithograph ink on this one.
