View Full Version : Uncle John
This is a drawing of my favorite uncle, who passed away in March. It is the first portrait I have completed, although I have done line drawings of faces three or four times in the past. My usual artwork is calligraphy with watercolor backgrounds, so this is something new for me!
I am going to send the picture to my cousin (his son) for Father's Day.

Hi Gail. Postumous<spelling?> portraits are such a sad but meaningful thing. I love the way the face is at an angle instead of the typical straight up and down. It gives it life which under the circumstances is quite a wonderful touch.
