This looks like a fun forum!

I do some work in Miniature, partially because of space problems- I am a merchant marine officer, and spend about 6 months or so a year on a ship, with limited room. I never set out to create mini art, it just kind of happened :). Here are some of my more recent creations-
Venice Sunset

This is my first ever attempt at a watercolor. 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.

Grand Bridge at Blenhiem

My second watercolor, also 3 1/2 x 2 1/2.

And- I even do Printmaking in Miniature!! These are a few examples-

Mini Mona

2 color reduction linocut, 3" x 3"

Faces II

3 color reduction linocut, also 3" x 3".

I look forward to posting more here in the future!

Any C&C welcome and appriciated,

-Andrew

These are so cool, Andrew!! I love the Venice one best, but all of them are great! The linocuts too! How fun!

Great!
Love the prints. There aren't too many that do prints in miniature.

I relate to doing minis as an alternate to regular sized work because of limitations. I was in hospital for 5 days, and did minis to pass the time. Great to change subjects, and come out with some finished artworks at the end of it all.

These are really good Andrew. Are you going to post the watercolors at the ATC forum? I'd surely want to trade with you for those beauties.

Cheers!

Hi Andrew,
6 months aboard ship would be a bit space limiting :)
I have space limitations to so I know what you mean.
Nice job on the watercolors!
It will be great to see what you come up with next.

Very carefully!!

Granted, my "boat" is 500 feet long, but we still get rocking and rolling... I just kind of brace myself and anticipate the rolls!!

I have, however, spilled my rinse water more than once

uh oh , mabey I should say ship ? LOL
Well spilling the water is better then accidentally rinsing your
brush in your coffee cup. I have done that one
I gotta admire anyone that can literally paint on the move !
