Well by the looks of it WC must've been down all night. I guess I'll start the show and tell.

The new lavender blue I think it is called with foil, anice white, coppergreen and raku.

Editing to add a couple more. I took these out of the kiln this morning and finished cleaning them and photo'd them. This was a play on the copper green, ruby (I used the ruby gold frit) and opal yellow. I think I will make another set and use a little less ruby to bring out the coppergreen more. Below is also a focal that had less ruby in it.

I've been slowly but surely revamping our website after taking better pics of everything, and also adding pages for our handmade soap and wool work. Some of these vessels may have been shown before, but some are new and all are better photographs.

Scott's having fun with assorted frits. :)

Joyce- Beautiful set with a great mixture of colors

I have been working on flower beads lately. The beautiful weather here has me thinking about spring...in the 70's range lately.

Here is a happy floral.
Twistie of white, dk aqua, and cobalt. Flowers are white and lemon yellow.

Joyce, those are great colors.
Sue, nice set; I love those little flowers.
Debbi, I love the vessels, I couldn't figure out which I like the best, maybe the pinkish transparent one.
Kelly, OMG, those flowers are to die for!

(Hmmm, I guess there are going to be lots of flowers today? Are we hoping for better weather?)

Joyce ~ both those sets are great!
Sue ~ very springy!
Debbie ~ you already know how I feel about Scott's vessels!
Kelly ~ great job on the flowers and leaves, I can never do the leaves!
Rose ~ I love that color combo!
Sachiko ~ very visually stimulating!
Kim ~ more copper green and ruby, yumm!
Gina ~ those are fabulous!
Lara ~ great color, almost reminds me of pottery!
Jeff ~ great job on the sea dragons!

Here is a two sided focal bead that I made for a Native American elder. One side is my attempt at a black bear and the other side is an eagle. This was done by using enamels.

It's only 8 am here is the show is full of pretty beads. I made another set of beads with a "bell cap" focal to hang beads or charms through, out of transparent Moretti red, etched, and a turtle shell bead. Good day to all.

Beautiful things on here today! You people are giving me a serious case of bead press envy!! What is really crazy is that I have a lot of these tools, but I'm having a hard time making myself sit down and PPP with them. (that's my stubborn self) But this thread gives me a real motivational pick-me-up! :)

Here's a few of mine, and I don't remember if I had showed them already or not. (brain fog or a caffeine withdrawal symptom)

The black and white (more grey though) is Vetrofond black and Moretti white swirled together. The others are ivory with mint green (Val's frit) and a turquoise "stone" focal - several colors of blues and greens mixed together. :)

Hey Everyone, pretty beads...I am fighting a cold here so gonna post and run...a new set in florals with a two toned base of purples...kinda valentine floral like.

Joyce, hey I made a run of beads in those colors and style right before Christmas...I even made myself some jewelry out of some...I called the Polynesian Holiday...very pretty!

Jen - Your two sided bead is really impressive. When I first saw it, I thought, "How'd she do that?" Then when I read that you had used enamels, I thought, "How'd she do THAT?"

Becky - Your horse is really beautiful.

I worked on these over the weekend, and there were so many that I divided them into 2 sets. Some are Bullseye and some are Moretti. All of this unseasonably warm weather  in Florida has got me thinking Spring and Summer colors.

I used the Thompson fine enamels mixed with Klyrfire and then used them like paint after prepping the base bead with a bit of enamel prior to going in the kiln. Once it was cooled enough I did one side using the enamel mix like paint, fired in the kiln to 1150 hold for 20 minutes and ramp down, then repeat on the other side. It gives me the ability to do things like this that I couldn't do other wise.

Hi everyone! One of my New Year's Resolutions was to start posting on Wet Canvas! I think I've overcome my technical deficiencies (but if I screw this up, my apologies in advance:)). I call these "the Beamer Family" (short for Big Mouthed Aliens....I know, very original... he he he).

Katy,

Welcome to you and your Beamers. They are too cute. I have some relatives who look like that after they've had a few too many drinks.

Cool, I need to read up more about this technique, it looks like fun. I guess then I should learn to draw/paint. :)
