I posted this on the project for Joe Majury (He was the first person I met on WC), and I thought I'd get some comments here, also. I had a lot of fun with this. Drawn traditionally, colored in PhotoShop.

Thanks, everyone...this was a joy to do.

Tammy...I noticed that also. Joe, however, fits into the "Denny" category (so named for guy I met at lunch once), as does Clinton and Eisenhower, but "Denny" is the base.
Faces can be grouped into categories (and sub-categories) of likenesses. Once you are familiar with the aspects of these categories, rendering a caricature is much easier. Minor changes to the hair, eyes and nose usually are enough. Then it's just a matter of expression and coloring. (and exaggeration)

A lot of this is intuitive, but finding your own categories is a worthwhile exercise.

how you colored it in, the high light's made it...
